Personal Gear (for each Solo Racer
or Team Racer
to carry at all times)
- Whistle
- Knife with minimum 2"
locking blade
- Lighter & matches
- Emergency blanket
- 1 litre water capacity
container
- Suitable winter clothing
for conditions - recommend layering e.g.. Polypropylene long-sleeve
shirt & tight/pant; suitable gloves & headwear (toque / balaclava);
sunglasses (Dry clothing for after the race)
- Hand/Foot warmers (4)
ARC
Team Gear (for

- Compass
- Writing Instrument (i.e.
pen)
- Survival Mirror
- Waterproof Map Bag
- First Aid Kit* * Tensor
Bandage, Closure Bandages (butterfly), Adhesive Tape, Antibiotic Ointment,
Gauze Roll, Tweezers/Scissors, Antibiotic Ointment, Anti-Inflammatory
Tablets

- Mountain Bike
- Mountain Bike Helmet
- Spare tire tube
- Tire studs allowed - ARC
reserves right to disallow unsafe tires - use common sense
- Snowshoes (Rentals available)
- Cross country skis and
poles (participants can use either "Classic" or "Skate" skis)

- Tire Levers
- Allen Key set
- Bike Chain repair tool
- Tire Pump (must fit whatever
types of valves used by all team members)
The following
equipment is prohibited from use prior to and during the race:
- Any GPS device
- Cellphones, Pagers, Pacemeters
or Radios, Walkie Talkies
- Any mode of transportation
not authorized by the race event organizers
- Any maps other then those
provided by the race event organizers
Note: This
list is not an exhaustive list and ARC reserves the right to disallow
the use of any item or equipment that might prove an unfair advantage
to any team and/or disqualify any team that use illegal equipment during
the race
