ARC Urban Adventure Race
The ARC Urban Adventure Race in Mississauga on April 28, 2007 is designed to bring the unforgettable experience of adventure racing closer to 'home'. Whether racing for the first time or looking to sharpen your team's skills and speed, this race is a challenging, yet attainable goal.
As this is the first race of the adventure racing season, it attracts large numbers of teams who are new to the sport, teams who have new teams members, and teams who are anxious to get the season started!
Staged in or near the 'urban jungle' of the city; we'll show you a side of the city or a populated area that you never knew existed. Historically we have taken racers to little known 'greenspaces', trails and waterways, that many have never seen or travelled on.
This race can be successfully completed with minimal navigation skills (map and compass not required), but the ability read instructions does help!
The race includes mountain biking (on roads, trails and single track), trail running/trekking and paddling (canoe - supplied by us with your entry fee), and will take between 3 and 5 hours to complete. In total the course will cover approximately 30km.
The ARC Urban Adventure Race will will be based at a downtown Mississauga location where there will be lots of parking, and we will provide locations on the route where friends and family can watch you in action.
