Mud
Run 2005 - Race Review
The
first ever Mud Run on June 11, 2005 was a real (muddy) success.
The temperature was hot (in fact very hot), but the runners had
lots of opportunities to cool off while running through the shaded
forest trails, dew covered fields and during the river crossings
(which varied from ankle to waist deep). And if that was not enough
to keep them cool, there was also the 'mud pit' at the end of the
race where everyone was required to crawl, dive, roll or squirm
their way through 30 feet of water soaked mud, before they crossed
the finishline. After the race there was lots of bottle water, snacks
and showers to clean and cool the muddy bodies of all those who
competed in the 2005 Mud Run.

Excitement
was in the air, on a sweltering hot Saturday as participants anxiously
awaited the start of a race. Muscles were twitching. Nerves were
on edge. Athletes were jockeying for position to ensure they got
off fast. Click here to read

Hey
there!
I was a participant in your 10k Mud Run (first runner of the team
"Dirty Girls") and even though it was my first 10k, I
am almost sure I can say it will be the best one! I enjoyed it thoroughly
and am looking forward to running it again in 2006!

Good
Afternoon
On Saturday we participated in the Mud Run. I would like to take
this opportunity to thank the organizers, volunteers and sponsors
for a great day, all be it a bit on the warm side. As none of us
on our team had ever participated in an adventure race this was
quite a challenge but we all had a fun time........
Thank you

Thanks for a great event. Our Achilles athlete Lorraine and her
