Bike for the Cure

Join the fun, exhilaration and inspiration of biking in the woods with friends, family and co-workers in Canada's only mass participation mountain bike event in support of a future without breast cancer.

Be part of the second annual Bike for the Cure

Hardwood Hills Mountain Bike Centre in Barrie, Ontario - June 4, 2005.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why Participate
In 2003, an estimated 21,100 Canadian women developed breast cancer, and an estimated 5,300 Canadian women died from the disease.

Experience the fantastic feeling of knowing that each time you push on your pedals, you are making a difference.

Who are you biking for?

Who you're supporting
Funds raised through your pledges and donations will go directly to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Ontario Chapter. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) is the leading national volunteer-based organization dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. The largest of four regional Chapters of the Foundation, CBCF - Ontario Chapter raises and allocates funds for programs unique to the needs and priorities of the breast cancer community in Ontario. In 2003, CBCF - Ontario Chapter allocated more than $5 million in grants and programs supporting breast cancer initiatives, including primary prevention research. A key funding area for the Ontario Chapter are the research studies between breast cancer and certain lifestyle choices - for example, diet and exercise - as well as environmental and biological factors. For more information, please visit www.cbcf.org/ontario.
