The Georgian Bay Open Water Race will see competitors
paddle an out and back loop along the southern shores and crystal
clear waters of Georgian Bay.
Participants will depart from Northwinds Beach
near Craigleth. They will paddle north east along the shoreline,
around the Collingwood lighthouse and back to the finish at the
beach.
This event is open to advanced paddlers capable
of handling the potentially large swells that can whip up on Georgian
Bay. Solo and Pair divisions will include Kayak/SurfSki and Outrigger
Canoe categories over a distance of 11km.
The race will recognize the top three finishers
in the male and female solo category, as well as the all-male,
all-female, coed and master's team categories.
Bring your own boat, or we can provide kayak/paddles
at an additional cost.
