The Mountain Biking Navigation Race combines the sport of mountain
biking with the ability to interpret and follow a trail map at
speed.
This event will take place in one of the Collingwood area's
mountain bike destinations. The exact location won't be released
until you pick up your race kit prior to the event. The trail
system where the race will take place is composed predominantly
of single track, however there are a few double track trails surrounding
& intersecting the area, and there are also some county lanes,
which you may be required to travel on, or cross. The single track
ranges from smooth & fast, to technical & rocky. All checkpoints
will be located on trails, so no bushwacking with your bike will
be required.
This event is open to teams of two and soloists. The length
of the event will be roughly 25km, however the distance traveled
may vary depending on the route choices selected.
The race will recognize the top three finishers in the male
and female solo category, as well as the all-male, all-female,
coed, and master teams.
