Not quite ready for the 2-day Ultimate Adventure Challenge,
but still want to test your adventure racing skills?
The Adventure Race will put a new twist on the old format of
adventure racing in Ontario. The race will take place in three
stages over the course of one day. And it will be for teams of
two and solo racers.
The stages include participation in the following events: The
Georgian Bay Open Water Race, the MTB Navigation Race and the
Adventure Run. A total distance of approximately 50Km.
As with any true adventure race, navigation will play a critical
role in determining a team’s success. Participants will
also be tracked with an electronic timing system, and they’ll
be able to view an up to date leader board after each stage in
the competition.
Participants will be required to supply and transport all of
their gear to each of the stage locations throughout the day.
A support driver is recommended, but not mandatory. Participants
must supply their own individual kayaks for the open water race.
(Kayak and paddle can be supplied at an
additional rental cost)
The total lowest accumulated time over the three stages will
be the winners, with prizing awarded in the team of two all-male,
all-female, coed, and masters categories; and in the solo male
and female categories.
